Hizbullah’s Media Division Denies Involvement in Gold Scam Reported by Foreign Media
Parliamentarian M.L.A.M. Hizbullah’s Media Division issued a statement via his official Facebook page, denying the authenticity of news reports that claimed he was deceived in a gold business deal, allegedly reported by Ghanaian media.
In the statement, his media unit clarified that Dr. Hizbullah had travelled to Ghana with friends from Saudi Arabia purely for business purposes. During the visit, he reportedly became aware of a fraudulent attempt by certain individuals and promptly informed Ghanaian security authorities.
According to the statement, following the tip-off, local police arrested 11 suspects involved in the scam. The Media Division strongly refuted any allegations linking Dr. Hizbullah to the incident, stating that he had no involvement in the fraudulent activity.
They further expressed regret over what they described as politically motivated, false, and misleading information being circulated in the media.
