Colombo Mayor today addressed the Silk Road Cities Tourism Alliance in Quanzhou, speaking on behalf of the non-Chinese member and observer cities.
Highlighting Colombo’s pride in being part of the modern Silk Road, the Mayor emphasized the importance of tourism, culture, and shared purpose in strengthening global connections.
The Mayor was accompanied by MMC Mohomad Jaufer and Ms. Ishani from the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, whose presence further reinforced Sri Lanka’s commitment to promoting tourism collaboration.
“We look forward to turning these ideas into meaningful action that will benefit all our cities,” the Mayor said.
